With over 30+ years as a higher education professional, he has built relationships with hundreds of students and parents. Many sought his advice navigating various aspects of the college landscape:

* admissions
* applications
* essays
* financial aid
* transfer credit
* high school curriculum planning to take advantage of AP, IB, PSEO or CIS
* applications, essay writing
* degree audits/graduation requirements
* academic advising

Assisting one family led to another and another and ... to the point he transitioned from higher education administration to assisting college bound students (and their families) find "good match" colleges - fits academically, socially & financially.

 

 

Kate Westlund, Project Manager and Video Production Specialist presented a program titled Thailand Jungle Camp.  Think of a camp is like a YMCA or 4-H summer camp. 

 

The kids who attend the Thailand camp are mostly Thai children.  They learn sustainability practices, participate in educational programs, and, of course, enjoy summer fun activities that you’d find at a resort.  Activities include yoga, zip lining, and swimming with the elephants.  Ok, maybe you wouldn’t expect to swim with elephants at a YMCA camp.

JUNE 17^TH Board Meeting and Rapids Sampler Planning at 11 AM at Kendall’s.

 

JUNE 24^TH GRANT will present a Year-in-Review and prepares pass the gavel to President-elect Erik Hegg.  Plan to attend this meeting to show our appreciation of Grant’s dedication and leadership of our Club during the past year.

 

JULY 8^TH Raymond Zeran will be out speaker.  His topic will be Met Council.
