Sydney Soczek, senior at CRHS, talked about her recent experience at Camp Enterprise.  Camp Enterprise is the leadership development course sponsored by us!

 

The multiple day event held at Camp Ihduhapi near Loretto teaches team building and leadership concepts.  About 108 participants around Minnesota and western Wisconsin were assigned a task to develop a product that could enhance the life of other individuals.  Sydney’s group conceived a product called SMARTfitt to measure progress towards better personal fitness goals, connect the user to social media and how-to videos.  The wearable device could also provide personalized fitness tips, diet and nutrition plans, and better sleep programs.

 

Sydney was a great speaker and a very impressive young lady.  She so impressed Larry Crane that he offered her a job at his bank (for real).

 

Sydney plans to attend Minnesota State – Mankato after high school graduation with a goal to major in sports medicine.

 

Al Hamel and Mayor Jerry Koch distributed dictionaries to students at Mississippi Elementary School in Coon Rapids on 12/11/18.  All the Rotary Clubs in the Anoka-Hennepin School District area, plus Connexus Energy and the Anoka Hennepin Educational Foundation Fund together distributed dictionaries to over 3,500 3^rd graders in the District.
