Annual Election Reminder:
January 8, 2018

On Monday, prior to the regular speaker program, the club will hold its annual meeting to nominate officers and directors for the 2018-2019 program year.  The Board made a decision to restore the nomination and election practices that are outlined in the Club Constitution and Bylaws.  The posts include President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and four additional Directors: Service Projects, Speaker Programs, Public Relations and Rotary Foundation.  The Past-President is a member of the Board and not subject to the election process.

Margie Rask will provide a brief overview of the process, share the nominations received so far, answer questions and call for a vote.  The election will require a quorum of at least 14 active members be present for the vote to be valid.  The Board encourages all club members to attend the meeting.

In last Friday's edition of the Star Tribune a story appeared about the Kindness Campaign at Coon Rapids High School.  Our Rotarian colleague, Principal Annette Ziegler was quoted in the story.  No doubt this one will qualify for some sort of fine, but perhaps there is a entire club that might step up and pay this on her behalf.   Congratulations to Annette and the staff and students at Coon Rapids High School for a story worth celebrating!  Here's a link to the article: http://www.startribune.com/coon-rapids-high-launches-kindness-campaign/468148073/
